Important Dates & Candidate Information
August Primary Election Dates
July 14th: Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration to change address or name only to participate in the 2026 primary election.
July 20th: Early in-person voting begins at Election Office, Sedgwick County Extension Office and Advance Learning Library.
July 28th: Early in-person voting begins at satellite locations.
August 4th: POLLS OPEN – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Primary Election Day!
VOTE NO on or before ​August 4th!
This August, Kansans will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed amendment to the state constitution, which would allow voters to decide the selection process for Kansas Supreme Court justices. A ‘No’ vote would maintain the current merit-based appointment system, while a ‘Yes’ vote would change the process to an election-based system that introduces partisan politics and corruption into our state’s highest court.
We urge all Kansans to VOTE NO to stop billionaire political donors from turning our impartial justices into politicians for sale
